OK, so first things first. This site is gonna have some funny shit on it. Me & Chino are gonna post all kinds of random funny shit that we come up with or run across, as well as whatever other interesting shit we come up with (you’ll probably see a lot of technology related stuff from me). We’re gonna do a bunch of funny merchandise too. And the other thing this site is about is random people signing up to be authors, so they can write funny shit, or whatever else they come up with. And with the random authors, we’ll review the posts, and if approved, post it to the site. Then at the end of the calendar year, we’ll tally up the profits (minus expenses & me & chino’s cut), and we’ll cut a check to each author based on the performance of their posts, and they can choose to save that money, or have us invest. Cash-out option is only available at the end of the year, so it’s kinda like a savings account. There’s a whole lot of logistics to work out for this, I have no idea how I’m gonna make this work. But hey, that’s the plan, we’ll make it work. So as far as the legal stuff goes, joining this site and posting articles in no way entitles you to any money. Right now, everything is going to be by the honor system on our part. I’m thinking we’ll use PayPal to distribute the money. And you’re just gonna have to trust that we’re not gonna rip you off. We won’t though, we’re pretty honest guys, except when it come to your mom.
Hi, I’m Rick Davis if you haven’t already figured that out. I’m 22 years old and I’ve been working in the computer industry since I was 16. I just recently decided to start a blog so that I could (hopefully) help the world with the knowledge that I’ve gained over the years, as well as helping my finances (note Google Ads). I was really inspired to start my blog by Steve Pavlina’s article How to make money from your blog. I highly recommend reading his article even if the thought of starting a blog has ever slightly crossed your mind. So, anyways, I don’t really know what I should put on my “About Me” page so I guess I’ll start with my career/life history as it relates to technology. Well, my mom bought our first computer from some dude that she knew through a friend. I was about 10 years old at the time and I think the computer was a 486, not really sure though. I started playing around with it (Windows 3.1) and AOL. I just loved it, especially when there were things that didn’t work properly and I had to fix them. As I got more & more into it, I finally found that the guy she bought it from “overcharged” us. That really pissed me off so when the time came to upgrade, I learned how to build my own. The next big thing that help me learn about computers was IRC. I had a friend that introduced me to IRC and got me playing around with different versions of Windows as well as a few flavors of Linux. When I was in high school, I got the opportunity to take the first two Cisco Networking Academy (CCNA) courses, they were awesome! I took those two classes my junior year and since me and a couple other students did so well in the class the high school offered to pay for us to take the next two classes at the local community college. I had turned sixteen the year I was taking the first two classes, and during the summer I decided to find a job using my newly attained knowledge. I had been working since I was about 13 years old, I was one of the kids sitting on the side of the road selling Sunday newspapers, so work wasn’t a new thing to me. I ended up finding an unpaid internship at a local computer service company. The best thing about this unpaid internship was that I was able to learn sooooo many new things about managing desktops, and even a couple things about managing servers. The other good thing about this unpaid internship was that whenever we had ethernet wiring jobs, he would pay me I ended up working there with him for only one month though…before school started back, I was offered a job with the board of education helping them prepare the schools for the new school year. Well just in case if anyone didn’t know already, regardless of what they tell you at an apple store there is a way to pull music off of your {en:IPOD} and not lose anything. if you google the word SENUTI (which is ITUNES spelled backwards) it will link you to a site where you can download the program. this program runs together with ITUNES. the download only takes a couple seconds and then away you go. all you have to do is plug your IPOD into your computer, it will then give you the option of copying songs one by one, you can also copy playlist by playlist or copy everything. once its all copied its just clicking and dragging. this program is great for getting music from friends or if you have to refromat your ipod. well here is a link for the site just in case. http://www.fadingred.org/senuti/. I have found a site that is pretty cool when it comes to meeting single people in your area. it is 100% free unlike most other sites out there. you can search by compatability or by your local area. you can also post 8 pictures. if you see someone you like you can message them free and you wont have to worry about the site asking you to pay for a membership. well if you are single and you are looking to find someone via the internet then check out Plentyoffish.com (more…)
Well let me start by Thanking You for visiting our site. This whole thing got started when i was at work and i was on the phone with Rick (H.N.I.C.) and we were thinking of a name for a website that would just look cool by the name alone. Then after about 3 hours of brainstorming we decided to go with this one. At first we hesitated but after some careful consideration we went with it. We are currently working on official YourMomWasHere.Com merchandise (t-shirts, Hats, boxers, thongs, etc).
A little about me:
I am 23 years old and i live in Boca Raton, Florida. I work as an Overnight Rent-A-Cop. I have been a resident of Florida my whole life which really isnt anything to admit to haha. Well thats all for now, but i will be adding more as we get everything finalized.
